Proposal Pitch Process

The process we used to create a game pitch was filling out a template. The template was basically a list of game aspects such as, summary, target adience, controls, sounds, genre and sub-genre, main-character, oppenents, graphics, etc. Then we took the filled out template content of the game and turned it into a presentation. How you formated and what style you use for the presenetation is completely up to you. Though I’m not totally sure of this, I did miss a few days of school.

My group used the format of lots of slides and one word to a phrase every slide. And the presentation was on the humorous side about letting your parents play the game with you. Which isn’t a great idea since we were presenting Mortal Kombat. Personally I wish we could have touched more on the technical aspects and storyline of the game instead of being quick and humorous.

I really don’t have any ideas to improving the creating a game pitch process that we used. But maybe we could mix it up a little. Like instead of having everyone choose a shape then mixing them up to form the groups. We could form groups by age or favorite something(like color idk). And we could create a movie pitch for practice. Like as if you were trying to get Disney to make your movie. Otherwise I’d be fine with sticking to the process we’ve been using so far.
