Models of the World’s Wonders

During 8th grade, I took a class called “Building the World’s Wonders.” We would start by picking a monument, standing or not, and write a brief history about it. By viewing pictures and using estimation we would draw up a chart or blueprint for scaling, material estimating, and designing. Then we build it. The three projects I completed were the Space Needle, the Roman Colosseum, and Alexandria’s Lighthouse. Below the picture of all three are close-ups of the colosseum since it was the most intricate and time-consuming.
