The Thrawn Trilogy – Timothy Zahn
I wanted to get into the Star Wars universe, and it just so happen that the Thrawn Trilogy was the section my mother owned, and so I read the first book years ago. It wasn’t until recently I thought about them again and found the audiobook version at my local library (the paper version had a lot of holds). Truly are amazing books, Timothy Zahn is a good writer. I’ve also read his Conquerors Saga. He explains the past coming up to his books well, so it didn’t feel like I’d really missed anything since the 6th movie.
The Thrawn Duology – Timothy Zahn
After the trilogy, I moved to the duology that continues it. I ignored the books written between them by other authors, partly because my library didn’t have them and partly because it sounded like they weren’t great. Plus, Timothy started the Luke and Mara relationship that I wanted to see the rest of, and it seems like the other authors had dismissed it. It was actually kind of funny how the duology even had a mild air of like, “come on guys, why haven’t you paired Luke and Mara yet.”
