This series may borderline be my new favorite series. The plot was incredibly unique and thrilling. At least for me, it is unlike any sci-fi I’ve read before. If you take a chance to read it, I think the main character’s theme song should be “To the Skies and Beyond,” by Brothers of Metal. Partly just because it fits, and also I kind of accidently read most of the first book while listening to the song on repeat.
Currently, I’m reading the third book, Cytonic. After this will be the last book of the series, Defiant.

I finished Defiant yesterday, and it was amazing. The series is definitely among my favorite now. Just some of the scenes with Spensa’s powers were great, and the emotional gathering and support that happened towards the end to fight together almost made me cry. Highly recommend the series.
Also, found out there are three novellas placed between books 2 and 3, and I’m going to start those as audiobooks.
