Soul Mates – Thomas Moore

I found this book highly interesting and insightful. Soul mates is typically used for romantic relationships, but this book was talking about soul connections with anyone and the soul itself as well. By the end, it did get a bit too irritating. Sometimes we as humans can have wild aspirations, desires, and connections, but it isn’t an excuse to act immorally. In this case, I use the Bible as the standard. Would still recommend it for others to read because of the many insights and explanations it gives for life that make sense. Towards the end, it was talking about how relationships should always be viewed as a grace, which while that isn’t the defining point of the book, I thought it was wise.

One of the best parts of the book was the discussion of how people have different sides to them, and sometimes it doesn’t come out until later or it develops. Rather than staying static, we should, in the sense of marriage, always seek to learn about and love every part of our partner. If they have a new inspiration, be open and supportive of it, and grow together.
