For some reason the movie Dune kept coming to mind earlier this year. I thought I should watch the movie again, the 2000 version. But honestly I don’t really like movies anymore, so I got the audio book version to listen to while driving and going to sleep.
As usually, it gave far more detail that made it more engrossing. The story of John and Chani is sweet, I’ve always enjoyed reading books where the couple are partners that support each other.
After reading the book, it makes sense as to why the movie changed some of plot. The book is totally setting up for a huge universe to be expanded, and would not have been great for a movie. Amazing book, highly recommend it.
