Found this book as I searched the library site for available audiobooks. I have a vague remembrance of the movie from when I was a kid, although I looked the movie up to refresh, and it doesn’t seem the movies are much like the book at all. The book was very well written and stayed interesting, and it avoided falling under the stereotypical military sci-fi setting and character interaction. Actually, the setting for the government was very interesting. A government with laws and rules that are simply based on what has been found to work or not work, instead of trying to achieve some silly ideal. The reading for the audiobook was also well done and the speaker had a good voice.
